Acura TSX Gallery: Remembering the European Honda Accord

The Acura TSX is a compact executive car that was manufactured by Acura, a luxury vehicle division of the Japanese automaker Honda. Introduced initially to the North American market in 2003 as a 2004 model year, the TSX filled the gap as Acura’s 4-door, entry-level sedan when the Integra sedan was discontinued in 2001. The TSX would later replace the Acura RSX in the US.

At its inception, the Acura TSX was seen as the American and Canadian version of the Honda Accord sold in Europe and Japan. Although smaller than the Accord we know in North America, it was praised for its sporty performance, high-quality interior, and advanced features for the time, like Bluetooth connectivity.

Under the hood, the TSX was powered by a 2.4-liter inline-four engine, offering a blend of performance and fuel efficiency. In its second generation (2009–2014), the TSX was offered with an optional 3.5-liter V6 engine, broadening its appeal to those who craved more power.

Inside, the TSX featured a well-designed, driver-oriented cockpit loaded with tech and luxury features. It provided a comfortable ride, sharp handling, and a level of refinement that was competitive with more expensive European rivals.

The Acura TSX was discontinued after the 2014 model year, as Acura decided to consolidate its sedan lineup. The TSX was essentially replaced by the Acura TLX, which merged the TSX and the slightly larger TL into a single model.

Front View	The front end of the Acura TSX is dominated by Acura’s signature pentagonal grille, neatly framed by slender, angular LED headlights. There’s a subtle lip spoiler on the trunk lid, and below that, you might see dual exhaust outlets integrated into the lower bumper. The car’s name and model designation are displayed on the trunk.
Interior	Inside, the TSX boasts a well-appointed interior. There’s a central infotainment screen atop the dash, flanked by air vents. The console below houses climate and audio controls. There’s a multifunction steering wheel with controls for the infotainment system. The seats are upholstered in leather, and there’s a sense of premium quality throughout, from the metallic or wooden trim to the detailed stitching.
